With a background in engineering and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Sérgio Loureiro has been a business development consultant for the last 15 years. He has worked in projects related to energy, sustainability, environmental services, technology and applied science, gaining a breath of experience in the complexity of change and adaptation to an ever evolving world. He started his professional life as a sales person for multinational consumer goods companies in Portugal, then as a stockbroker for Morgan Stanley and a banker for JP Morgan Chase in the USA. The self proclaimed first victim of the financial crisis of 2008, Sergio swings between healthy scepticism of ‚business as usual‘ and cautious hope on the endless promise of human ingenuity.
